Case study
The brief
Essentio is invoicing software for European businesses: compliant EN 16931 invoices, VAT numbers verified against official registries, payments and receipts, and the option to simply ask an AI assistant to draft, issue and send an invoice.
Invoicing is serious, detail-heavy work. The product needed to feel calm, trustworthy and quick, whether you click through it yourself or let an assistant do it for you.
The approach
We designed the app’s UX and UI around the everyday jobs: a dashboard that answers “what’s owed and what VAT is due”, fast client and invoice creation, and helpful moments like verifying a VAT number and offering to auto-fill the client’s details from the registry.
Everything is built on a shared design system (colour, type, spacing and components), which then shaped a redesign of the Essentio website, so the product and the site look and feel like one brand.
The outcome
A consistent product and website experience, built on one system that keeps new features and pages quick to design and easy to keep on-brand.
