# Luplof > Luplof is a creative studio in Paphos, Cyprus, founded by Jannis Sid and illustrator Katerina Dotneboya. We make complex products and ideas clear through motion design, illustration and campaign design, UX/UI, and interactive Rive animation. Founders: Jannis Sid (Founder & Creative Director), Katerina Dotneboya (Co-founder, Art Director & Illustrator). Based in Paphos, Cyprus. Works with clients in Cyprus, Europe and internationally, both directly and as a partner to agencies. ## What we do - **Animated videos**: Explainer videos, product demos, launch films, and social and TV spots. Mostly 2D animation, with 3D where it helps. We also direct AI-assisted videos: AI generates the raw footage, we set the look, edit and finish it by hand. (Explainer videos, Product & app demos, Launch & promo films, Social & TV spots, Logo animation, AI-assisted video) - **Illustration & campaigns**: Illustration and campaign visuals, drawn in-house by Katerina Dotneboya, for print, social and video. Hand-drawn when it should feel human, and ready to animate when the campaign needs it. (Illustration, Print & campaign visuals, Social campaigns, Styleframes & storyboards) - **App & website design**: Interfaces for apps and websites (UX/UI), from the first user flows to a full design system, with motion where it helps people understand what just happened. (User flows & wireframes, UI design, Design systems, UI motion) - **Interactive web animation**: Animations for websites and apps that react to clicks, scrolling, taps or live data, built in Rive, a tool for real-time interactive animation. They stay sharp at any size and are far lighter than video. We’ve worked with Rive since its early days. (Interactive website heroes, Animated icons & buttons, Characters & avatars, UI & onboarding animation, Rive files your developers can drive) ## Services - [Explainer videos](https://luplof.com/explainer-videos/): Animated explainer videos that make complex products, research and services easy to understand. We make complex products and ideas clear through motion design, illustration and campaign design, UX/UI, and interactive Rive animation, for brands and agencies worldwide. ### How much does an explainer video cost? It depends on length, style, illustration and voice-over. As a guide, a 60-second animated explainer usually costs between €1,000 and €5,000, and short social clips start from €300 for 15 seconds. After a short call, we send a fixed quote for your project. ### How much does a Rive animation cost? Simple animated elements start from €300. The final price depends on complexity, style and deliverables, and we can quote per project or per item, whichever suits you. ### Do you offer monthly retainers? Yes. Creative partnerships start from €2,000 per month and give you priority access to our team for a fixed amount of time each week, across motion, illustration and design. ### What is Rive, and why use it instead of video? Rive is a tool for building interactive animations that run in real time on websites and apps. Unlike video, a Rive animation reacts to the user, stays sharp at any size, and is usually far smaller than an equivalent video or GIF. One file works on web, iOS and Android. ### Do you design UX/UI for apps and websites? Yes. We design product interfaces and design systems, from user flows and wireframes to final UI, and can add motion and Rive interactions on top. See the Essentio case study. ### Do you use AI in your work? Yes, where it helps the idea. We use AI for research, concepting and, on some projects, generating footage. Every piece is still directed, edited and finished by hand, and we always tell you what was AI-generated. ### Do you work with agencies? Yes. We add senior motion, illustration and Rive capacity to creative, branding and digital agencies. Work can be credited or white-label, and fits around the agency’s own process and tools. ### How long does a project take? It depends on the project and its complexity: anywhere from a couple of days to a few months. A typical 60-second video takes two to four weeks from concept to delivery, and faster timelines are possible. After the intro call, we send a quote with an estimated delivery time. ### Who owns the final files? Once your project is paid in full, you receive the rights to use the final deliverables for their intended purpose. Source files are available depending on the project and scope. ### Can you help with the idea and the script? Yes. Concept, scriptwriting, art direction and storyboards are part of every project. ### Do you work only locally? No. We’re based in Paphos, Cyprus, and work with clients worldwide. Most projects run remotely, with calls scheduled to suit your time zone. ### How do I start a project? Send a few lines through the contact form or book a 30-minute call. We reply within one working day with questions, next steps and, where it makes sense, a proposal. ## Pages - [Work](https://luplof.com/work/) - [Services](https://luplof.com/services/) - [About](https://luplof.com/about/) - [Contact](https://luplof.com/contact/)
